The controversial social commentator took to Twitter following reports that the Tories will legalise fox hunting if they win the 2015 general election.
The re-legalisation would come over 10 years after the sport was banned.
The law change was one of the most successful of it’s kind due to the nature of the sport, which involves a group of riders chasing the scent of a fox with hunting dogs.
Katie showed her support for the ban to be lifted, writing on the social media site: “Fox hunting will be legalised. And everyone can go on as normal. Tally Ho! RSPCA will save themselves a fortune in vanity court cases.”
After the 39-year-old was criticised for her comments, she blasted those who were against the law change, writing: “The main reason you dislike fox hunting is you believe it is the sport of toffs. This is just jealousy disguised as animal rights.”
She then tweeted: “Hunters are a part of the country side - like trees or fields. Terrorism is the act of a coward. Hunting is a skill.”
One Twitter wrote back to the former Apprentice contestant: “The main reason you dislike fox hunting is you believe it is the sport of toffs. This is just jealousy disguised as animal rights.”
Katie Hopkins returns to our screens in a one-off documentary My Fat Story on January 2.
