Nicole Kidman sings Amazing Grace and pays tribute to her ‘extraordinary’ father

Nicole Kidman paid tribute to her father, Dr Anthony Kidman, at his funeral in Sydney, Australia, earlier today.

The actress told mourners how her ‘extraordinary’ father supported her through the darkest of times, including her split from Tom Cruise, in 2001.

According to Nicole, Anthony was by her side within hours of the news being announced.

He passed away earlier this month from a fatal fall at a hotel in Singapore.

As well as paying tribute, Nicole sang Amazing Grace to the congregation as her husband, Keith Urban, played the guitar.

“I am a girl, a woman, raised by an extraordinary man,” said Nicole.

He was calm, wise, self-restrained and generous. What more could you wish for in a father?"

“I'm so lucky to be his daughter, and that he chose my mother to make me with.

“The only regret he'd have is that he's not here to see his beautiful grandchildren grow up. And that he's not here to take care of Jay (his wife Janelle).

“I want to say to him, don't worry, we'll be able to take care of her... I love you Papa!”
