They ended their 11-year relationship in 2019, but Nadine Coyle and Jason Bell are continuing to spark rumours that they’ve secretly reunited. Not only have they been spotted holding hands, but last week former American footballer Jason posted a cosy snapshot of the pair enjoying a celebratory Thanksgiving meal with their six-year-old daughter Anaiya.
Alongside the sweet snap on his Instagram, Jason, 42 – who was second to leave this year’s Strictly – gushed, “Had a wonderful Thanksgiving with these two,” adding, “I’m so thankful for these special memories.”
And while the former couple – who were once engaged – have kept tight-lipped on their current relationship status, insiders say isolating together throughout lockdown has stirred-up old feelings.
A source says, “It’s no secret Nadine and Jason are incredibly close, and their connection and chemistry was reignited when Jason moved to the UK to live with Nadine and Anaiya during the pandemic.
“It was almost as if they started afresh and went back to the days of when they first fell in love – enjoying each other’s company as friends without the pressure of a romance and then rekindling old feelings again.
“Jason’s stint on Strictly really made him realise how important Nadine is to him and, over the past few months, they’ve been giving the impression to friends they’re hoping to give things another shot.”

Last January, Cheryl, who is twice-divorced, swore off dating another celebrity. Admitting that she was open to a relationship, she insisted, “I’d 100% date a shelf-stacker from Sainsbury’s. I would be open to meeting someone new, someone not in the industry.”
The source adds, “Nadine knows Cheryl wants to meet someone who’s out of the spotlight, hence why she suggested Jason’s friend. He’s as down-to-earth and unfazed by celebrities as it gets.
“He’s also got a young child, which Cheryl likes because fellow single parents can relate to the struggles. It would give them something to bond over.”
Nadine’s matchmaking is a big step forward, given that the singers had a long-running feud. When Girls Aloud split in 2013, Nadine said she had wanted to keep the band going, and that she had played no part in the decision. But her comments sparked a furious Cheryl to accuse her of being “full of s--t”.

But earlier this year, it finally appeared relations were thawing, when Nadine revealed that Cheryl had emailed her. Shortly afterwards, she started following Nadine on social media, and sources told Closer how the pair were texting and emailing frequently.
“Cheryl really appreciates Nadine thinking of her right now,” says the source. “And even if it doesn’t work out between her and this new guy, the thought means a lot.
“She’s so happy for Nadine and Jason as she’s watched their love blossom over the years and knows how good they are together. She hopes she can find the same connection and move on with a new man – and go the distance like they have.”
