Michael Bublé's wife Luisana Lopilato has CONFIRMED that their son Noah has now recovered from cancer
Michael Bublé's wife has CONFIRMED for the first time that their three-year-old son Noah has recovered from liver cancer.
The family were devastated when the little boy was diagnosed with cancer last November, but he immediately started a course of chemotherapy and has thankfully now been given the all-clear.
Since his diagnosis in November, the family have kept very quiet to focus on their son.
Michael pulled out of hosting the BRITs in February to focus on Noah, but neither he nor his Argentinian singer wife Luisana Lopilato have spoken publicly since their son's diagnosis.
But Luisana broke her silence at a press conference earlier today about the film she was working on, Those Who Love And Hate, which was halted so that she could care for her son.
Confirming the happy news that her eldest son is now back in good health, she said: "Thank God, my son is well. When things like those that happened to us occur, you take on life changes. It happened to us. Now I value life much more, the now and the today."
She added: "I would like to thank people for their support, for the prayers they said, for their love. And I want them to know that they reached us and that it helped us a lot to come through this.
"It's difficult for me to speak about this, it’s very recent and I'm still a bit sensitive about the subject. But the love is daily, when people stop me in the street.
"It's wonderful to know that you're accompanied in life and that people love you."
She also uploaded a photo of herself at the press conference, alongside a caption which has here been translated into English: "I need to multiply to the infinite my gratitude for so many expressions of love.
"Since I arrived in Argentina, I have not stopped receiving demonstrations of affection that reach me deep inside my heart. I feel blessed and embraced by the wonderful energy I receive through the good wishes and prayers of so many people.
"Today, I want to give a heartfelt thanks to each of the people who gave me strength when I needed it most. The love of the people is one of the most wonderful gifts that my profession has given me, that is why today more than ever I want to say THANK YOU. Thank you for accompanying me in pain, thank you for celebrating my happiness, thank you for being a part of my life."
The actress, whose brother, Dario Lopilato, and sister, Daniela Lopilato, have both spoken out in the past few weeks to say that the little boy was doing well, went on to say that her little boy was now flourishing.
She explained that, sadly, Noah would have to have continual check-ups: "My son's recovery is a long process as you all know and he has to continue with check-ups. But we are very happy. We are looking forward to thinking about the future, to seeing our children grow. Seeing Noah grow and being happy gave me the strength to return and finish this film.
"My faith in the fact God had a miracle helped me. I became strong so my son would get better. I transmitted that to all my friends and family. As a family we were always very united and we fought this together. We did everything we could for our son, so he would come through this."
