Michael Buble’s son has started life saving treatment after being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.

Canadian singer Michael, 41, made the heart-breaking revelation that his three-year-old son, Noah, had cancer following a liver biopsy last month.

Michael and his Argentinian wife Luisana Lopilato, 29, had believed their tot had a case of mumps but were distressed to learn he had a life threatening disease.

But now Noah is undergoing treatment to shrink the tumour through chemotherapy which doctors then hope to remove.

Argentinian news reports have said that the little boy will need treatment for four months after being diagnosed in November.

Luisana’s sister Daniela spoke to a magazine revealing the family hope Noah will make a full recovery.

"If God wanted it to be discovered that way, it's because he wants to save Noah," Daniela said.

"Cancer is a horrible illness but we have faith in Noah being able to overcome this. We know he will. The time to start a long and very difficult treatment has come but it's got to be done," she continued.

"They say children are normally strong to put up with chemotherapy and my nephew is a warrior," Noah’s aunt added.

Argentinian magazine Gente reports that Luisana had taken Noah to hospital in Buenos Aires believing he had mumps when the discovery was made.

They report that doctors performed an abdominal ultrasound which discovered a problem with the little boy’s liver and it was soon after that the disease was discovered.

Daniela spoke further to the magazine revealing a second opinion in Los Angeles was when the disease was discovered, revealing: "It was there they discovered something wasn't right. We have very good specialists but for personal and family reasons, Michael and my sister decided to fly to the States."

It has also been reported that medical experts believe the toddler stands a 90% chance of winning his fight with cancer.

At the beginning of November, Michael and Luisana released a statement confirming the sad news and said they would put their careers on hold to be with their son.

"We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the US," Michael revealed in a statement.

"We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children. Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well," he added.

Michael and Luisana married in March 2011 in Argentina and welcomed their son Noah in August 2013.

They welcomed their second son, Elias, in January of this year.

We hope Noah gets better fast.
