Michael Bublé's son Noah has already started chemotherapy for what is believed to be liver cancer, it has been emerged.

And reports are stating that the brave little three-year-old has a 90% chance of surviving the disease after his four-month course of treatment in Los Angeles, where the family flew to get the very best care possible as soon as Noah was diagnosed.

After ruling out mumps when Noah felt ill recently in Argentina, doctors found the problem was with his liver– and tests and treatment are now underway in LA, as time is of the essence.

Meanwhile, the family is already proud of what a brave little trooper Noah is being. His aunt Daniela was interviewed in Gente magazine, and said:

“Cancer is a horrible illness but we have faith in Noah being able to overcome this.

“We know he will. The time to start a long and very difficult treatment has come but it’s got to be done. They say children are normally strong to put up with chemotherapy and my nephew is a warrior.

“He doesn’t understand too much what is happening. The love people are showing is helping us to see things with optimism and we have a lot of faith.”

Michael and Luisana have also told friends they are trying to remain positive following their son Noah’s cancer diagnosis.

The couple have apparently said they are "sad but hopeful" and are doing everything they can for the three-year-old.

An insider told Us Weekly: "They are really sad but hopeful. They immediately got him very good care and they are hoping and praying for the best.

"They are getting him the best doctors around. It's really heartbreaking. This was a real shock, but they are doing everything they can.

"They're staying positive and Noah is a fighter."

In a statement originally released on Michael's Facebook page, the superstar said: "We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the US. We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children."

The tragic news comes shortly after the 41-year-old singer - who also has eight-month-old son Elias - spoke about his love of being a dad.

He said: "I had no idea how much I would love being a dad. That's it, that's all I care about ... I love them too much probably, if there was such a thing. It's made everything else so insignificant, moments that I was afraid of and moments that would overwhelm me have now become a joy because I've realised how not serious they are compared to what is really important, which is Noah and Eli and that's it."
