The Only Way Is Marbs kicked off last night and following the fake tan, fallouts and flirting former cast member Mark Wright tells Closer what advice he’d like to give to the TOWIE boys.
Mark says: “There’s more competition between the TOWIE boys now then when I was on it. Back then it was just me, Arg and Kirk Norcross. But now, the boys compete in every field – who has got the best body, who has got the most girlfriends. I think they all need to chill out about it and just enjoy themselves.”

After quitting the show in 2011 Mark has lined up a string of presenting gigs and got together with his fiancée Michelle Keegan and it’s this success that sees the TOWIE stars going to him for tips.
Mark adds: “Some of the TOWIE boys ask me for advice and how I became famous away from the show. Charlie King actually thanked me for being the face of TOWIE and making the show big – he told me it wouldn’t be where it was without me.”

But while Mark, 27, has been a constant figure on the celebrity circuit, he doesn’t think everyone should follow in his footsteps.
He says: “Everyone on TOWIE should try their own things but I wouldn’t suggest leaving the show unless they have something guaranteed afterwards. People on the show feel like they have to leave but I only left because I had I’m A Celeb and another job lined up – I wouldn’t have left if I didn’t have that work.”

So who does Mark predict will hit the big time, Sam Faiers? Joey Essex? Lucy Mecklenburgh? “I’m often asked who is going to be the next TOWIE star to break away from the show,” Mark says. “But no one is bigger than TOWIE.”
