Lauren Goodger and Mark Wright may have ended their turbulent on/off ten–year relationship in 2011 but three years on they still can’t escape the drama of each other’s lives.

Just two weeks ago Mark took a vicious swipe at Lauren on Twitter after she mentioned him on Instagram. In one message Mark – who is engaged to Michelle Keegan - wrote: “Please leave me out of your public conversations, stop embarrassing yourself. Start having some respect and MOVE ON.”

But the tanning entrepreneur tells Closer she won’t ever let it be awkward between them no matter what heated words are exchanged.

Lauren says: “Mark and I have gone through some really hard chapters, it was very up and down but if I do bump into him it’s not an issue, I’ve gone through a lot worse – the hardest times were filmed on camera for TOWIE.”

Lauren and Mark dated on and off for 10 years

This week Lauren, 28, spoke out in her column about Mark’s recent outburst saying: “I was really shocked when Mark hit out at me on Twitter. What annoys me is that people don’t think I’m over him. I moved on a long time ago and I’m happy he has too.”

And she shared this sentiment when speaking to Closer, Lauren says: “Of course it’s weird [if I see Mark], when you’ve been with someone it will always be a bit weird but that’s life. Things change not everyone stays together, people need to remember that I was 14 years old when Mark and I got together.”

While dating Mark for almost a decade Lauren became good friends with his sister, Jess Wright. The girls remained close even after the couple split but they later fell out in early 2012. Although Lauren is quick to stress there’s no tension between her and the rest of the Wright family.

Lauren adds: “When I saw Jess and [her mum] Carol, they were lovely and said hello. And that’s it, we’re all adults and I’m not in the show any more so I don’t need that drama going on or being torn into pieces, I’ve moved on.”
