The 28-year-old was assaulted on a night out with friends in her hometown of Derby on Saturday night.

“Maria is still in shock so won't be commenting at the moment,” her representative told the Star. “However, it was a random attack.”

The incident occurred around 2:30am in Becketwell Lane, Derby, with Derby constabulary confirming: “We are investigating an assault on a 28-year-old woman.”

Before heading out Maria posted a handful of pictures to her Instagram profile, looking happy and relaxed with friends.

However pictures of the model after the attack show her legs covered in blood, while her nose bleeds profusely.

Sadly this isn’t the first time Maria has been a victim of assault. Back in February Maria revealed she had been glassed by a random man while out at a party, prompting her decision to give up alcohol.

In a statement on her Twitter, Maria wrote at the time: “My business is doing well and waiting for the weekend every week is not going to help me progress in my Tanning company. And now we have so many colleges booked in with our training courses it seems the perfect time to hang up my Louboutins and quit alcohol.

“In the past 2 weeks I have been glassed by a man and also verbally abused when out and never received hostility like that before. I'm not going to become as successful as I wish and also meet the right person to settle down with in nightclubs.

“I drink way too much. A lot more than I should and it's not good for my mind or body. So that's my decision. It may not last forever but it suits me now.”
