National treasures and bona fide #couplegoals Ryan Thomas and Lucy Mecklenburgh have opened up about their plans to settle down in the New Year
Having first got together on Bear Grylls’ reality show The Island in 2017, Lucy and Ryan’s relationship has gone from strength to strength, with Lucy supporting the Coronation Street actor through the ‘punchgate’ episode on Celebrity Big Brother at the start of this year.
And now, speaking with OK! magazine, the couple have confirmed that marriage, kids, and a big family home are definitely on the agenda for 2019.
“I wouldn’t waste my time with someone if I didn’t believe we were on the same page about children and getting married,” said ex TOWIE star Lucy.
“I know we both want the same things in the future."

Lucy agreed, adding cheekily, “You’d better get saving because I want a really heavy left hand!”
The ultra-glam pair look happier than ever right now as they prepare to spend their second Christmas together, but earlier this year were reportedly embroiled in a whirlwind 72-hour ‘split’.
“It’s a real shock,” a source told The Sun.
“They had a massive row this week and called it quits on the spot, which will come as a massive surprise to everyone who knows them because they’ve seemed so loved-up."
Following their reconciliation, the same source said, “They’ve met up and they’re trying to work through it. Who knows what will happen long-term, but for now things they seem determined to smooth it over.”
And thankfully they were able to do just that, as they are set to move on to bigger and better things together in 2019. Bring on the wedding photos, we say.
