Louise Redknapp has told friends that she's worried it's "too late" to get back together with Jamie, who she has been married to for 19 years.

It first emerged in July this year that Louise, 42, had separated from her ex-footballer husband Jamie, 44, after nearly 20 years of marriage.

Whilst neither party officially announced the split, Louise went on This Morning in September and revealed that going back to work had been a "real saviour," but only saying that she and Jamie were going through "hard times."

Two weeks later, she told Stella Magazine that is was "so hard because I love him," adding that she'd begun to feel like a "Stepford wife."

However, she then reportedly did a u-turn on her decision to end the marriage, after a source told Now Magazine that the singer had "started to wobble," adding that she "really misses Jamie".

And now, it has come to light that she wants to try again with their marriage - but fears it's too late to get back together with Jamie.

Jamie, who has kept silent on the subject over the last few months, was spotted not wearing his wedding ring twice in public recently, with some taking this as a sign that he is ready to move on from the relationship.

A source close to Louise, who has two sons with Jamie, says that she's terrified she's left it too long and "hurt Jamie too much" for them to think about rekindling their relationship.

They added: "Louise wanted a break from normality, to have some fun and put herself out there again.

"But fears are creeping in and she’s not sure whether she’ll have a husband to go back to."

The source added that Louise was worried Jamie was already "moving on" and said: "In many ways, Jamie has moved on from the state of speculation Louise created around their relationship.

"Right now Jamie is giving his wife the space she was craving and is only in contact to discuss the children."

But it might not all be lost for the pair, after the source, who is apparently close to both of them, revealed Jamie hadn't give up "just yet" but that Louise "only had herself to blame."

Ouch.
