Flashing her toned abs and flawless complexion on stage last month, 47-year-old Louise Redknapp looked like she’d barely aged a day from the fresh-faced teen who shot to fame almost 30 years ago in hit girl band, Eternal.
The age-defying mum-of-two looked incredible in a pair of high-waisted trousers and cropped jacket while performing at Flackstock Festival in memory of TV presenter Caroline Flack, who tragically took her own life in February 2020, aged 40.
Weeks earlier, Louise showed off her enviable bikini body during her holiday to Mykonos with her sons, Charley, 17 and Beau, 13, who she shares with ex-husband, ex-footballer Jamie Redknapp.
One fan gushed, “She definitely still has it! Natural beauty!” Another added, “You look better than ever!”
And insiders tell Closer how Louise has got her spark back after quietly dipping her toe back in the dating pool following her 2017 divorce from Jamie, 49, who’s since re-married and had another child with his new wife, Frida Andersson, 38.
A source says, “After taking some much-needed time out to reflect after her divorce, Louise has opened herself up to the prospect of finding a new man and has been enjoying some set-ups through friends.
“She feels better than ever but she knows that she doesn’t need a man to be happy. Louise is in a great place and, as always, her boys are her priority.”
After ending their 19-year marriage in 2017, the former Strictly star – who’s remained single ever since – admitted her regret over not trying to save the relationship, confessing, “I wish I’d tried.”
The following year, Jamie and Frida – who has four children with her ex-husband – went public with their
romance and announced they were expecting their first child just 10 months later.
In October, insiders revealed how Louise was left “shocked” by Jamie’s whirlwind wedding to the Swedish model, just a month before they welcomed their son, Raphael. Around the same time, Louise revealed how her teenage sons were encouraging her to start dating again, “[My sons] always say, ‘When are you going to [date]?’” she confessed, adding, “Dating just takes time.
“On my days off, going out and having a social life is not my priority. It’s being a mum and stocking up the fridge. All my boys care about is me being happy – whatever that is.”
And pals say thanks to her sons’ continued and gentle encouragement, she is finally putting herself first and moving on with her life.
The source adds, “Louise’s boys have made no secret of their desire to see her settle down – even helping her to vet potential bachelors and giving her fashion advice when she’s getting ready for a date!
“Seeing how much they care about her and her future happiness has been heartwarming, but she’s just having fun right now.”
