Cheryl was looking fuller-figured than usual as she stepped out in Paris last week, and her mum Joan Callaghan did little to silence the whispers when she was pictured buying pregnancy pillows.
But while everyone is left to speculate, insiders reveal One Direction star Liam Payne, 23, is panicking that he may not be ready for fatherhood.
A source says: "Cheryl was honest with Liam from the start about how she wants to settle down and have children and he was so besotted that he was up for all of that too - and still is.
"But all the hype around her being pregnant is a reminder of what a huge commitment they're making.
"He's started freaking out that he's not quite ready to take on everything that having a newborn will involve.
"Liam really wants a family and is confident he'll get over his panic, but he's just feeling a little overwhelmed by the prospect of fatherhood right now."
