Speculation that Cheryl was pregnant reached fever pitch last week when her toyboy boyfriend Liam Payne dropped the biggest hint yet that exciting news was on the horizon when he changed his Twitter profile to "the luckiest man in the world."
Rumours of a pregnancy initially started in May after the 33-year-old singer appeared at a Global Gift Gala in Paris with a slightly-rounded tummy, followed by several red carpet moments at Cannes.
In June, Cheryl attended Liam's sister's wedding wearing a loose-fitting grey maxi dress which set the baby rumours into overdrive.
Ever since then, she's been keeping an uncharacteristically low profile and has been notably absent from social media – in stark contrast to this time last year.
To add another layer to the mystery, Cheryl made the uncharacteristic move of failing to confirm a date for her latest fragrance launch this week - despite being scheduled to attend a signing at the end of October.
She also showed off a fuller face in a new L'Oreal advert - prompting fans to speculate on her pregnancy.
Insiders tell Closer how they wouldn't be surprised if the singer – who's been dating 1D singer Liam, 23, for the last six months – is on the verge of announcing big, life-changing news.
A source says: "Cheryl's been a recluse over the past few weeks – refusing to socialize with most of her pals, not drinking and spending lots of time hanging out with her best friend Kimberley (Walsh) who is due to give birth to her second baby later this year.
"Cheryl's never been one to embrace the limelight when she's not working, but her recent hibernation is her most extreme yet - and it's clear that something is up."
