Just when we thought things couldn’t get any more heated between Lauryn Goodman and Annie Kilner, last week alleged messages between Annie and a mystery pal – reportedly fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy – were revealed, with Annie saying that she wanted Lauryn ‘dead’.

Lauryn, 33, hit back on her private Instagram account, writing, ‘This has been going on for some time now. This isn't the only time threats have been made towards me. Numerous people have come forward with similar information. It's quite concerning that this level of hate continues with people still trying to deflect their own behaviour. This world can be cruel and dangerous, and it makes me fearful.’

An insider tells Closer that Lauryn is horrified by Annie’s savage words, saying, ‘The text message revelations really upset and hurt Lauryn. She understands that everyone can feel pain and knows Annie has been hurt, but to wish someone dead seems really extreme. That message is as harsh as it gets - it's a death threat essentially - and it's knocked her. She's been trying to move forward but this has brought everything back.

‘Annie is a mother herself and, for Lauryn, the idea of wishing another mother dead is really shocking. People also forget Lauryn’s children are related to Annie’s. The saddest part is the children will be able to read all this one day.’

Footballer Kyle Walker, 34 - who shares Roman, 12, Riaan, eight, Reign, six, and six-month-old Rezon with his wife Annie, 32 - was embroiled in a cheating scandal when he fathered two children with Lauryn - a son, Kairo, four, and a daughter, Kinara, one. Lauryn, who a couple of months ago lost a highly publicised court battle against Kyle surrounding childcare maintenance, recently appeared on Celebs Go Dating where she shared an insight into her hellish year, saying, ‘I feel like I'm in survival mode.’ When news broke last year that Kyle was the father of Lauryn’s second child, she sent then-pregnant Annie a message, ending it with, ‘All his boys have known from the start, so don't trust them. I'm sorry.’

‘People forget that Lauryn did apologise to Annie but she since feels that Annie has directed her anger at the wrong person. She won't be Kyle's scapegoat. She feels Annie needs to direct her anger at her husband instead of always blaming the other woman. After all, Lauryn reportedly hasn’t been the only infidelity – others have been reported on over the years.’

Annie recently hired PR guru Rachel Monk, who was made famous for guiding Coleen Rooney through her own rocky patch during her ‘Wagatha Christie’ High Court trial against Rebekah Vardy, and also a media lawyer Paul Lunt. And our insider says that if anyone can turn public opinion around, it’s Rachel.

‘Lauryn is considering her options, as the idea of a hateful message like that is so traumatic for her. She knows there may be more drama ahead, especially after Annie hired Rachel and Paul. But at the end of the day, with everything that's happened, she just wants to keep positive energy around her and to move on. Her focus is and always will be her kids - she doesn't want to let negativity stop her from moving forward.’
