Reality star Lauren Goodger worries pals after she’s pictured looking worse for wear and fails to show up to a TV interview

She seemed to have enjoyed a wild night out as she was pictured leaving the Celebs Go Dating wrap party last week – looking bleary-eyed while stumbling into a cab.

And reality star Lauren Goodger faced a backlash from fans when she failed to show up for an appearance on This Morning the following day with co-star Jack Fincham. Host Ruth Langsford said, "If you’re watching guys, where are you? What are you doing?"

Their Celebs Go Dating co-star, Lady Colin Campbell, appeared to imply that something had gone on between Lauren and Jack, telling the hosts, "Two words… rumpy pumpy" – though Lauren’s agent was quick to deny Lady C’s claims.

One viewer wrote, "How rude to just not turn up without letting them know." And another added, "That was actually very embarrassing on their behalf, great example of professionalism".

A source reveals, "Lauren’s partying and boozing has been worrying her friends. She’s been going out a lot and drinking to excess.

"To not turn up to a TV appearance is so unprofessional, and they’re afraid she’s going to ruin relationships with TV shows that have taken years to build.

"When alcohol is involved, she becomes unreliable and reckless, and pals are worried because they think she’s secretly masking her unhappiness and needs to address the cause of her problems."

Opening up last week on Celebs Go Dating about her childhood, Lauren admitted she’d been emotionally affected by her mum making her live with her dad at four years old, and her feelings of "rejection" leading her to stay in toxic relationships with men.

The star – who was slammed by viewers for appearing drunk during the first episode of the dating show, with some accusing her of slurring her words – has also admitted to over indulging in alcohol over the years.

Yet in 2016, the 32 year old told Closer she was keen to change her ways, saying, "Now, the thought of a hangover is horrifying and I’ll never be trapped in that vicious cycle again."

But insiders say she’s partying harder than ever since splitting from ex Joey Morrisson – who was released from prison last September after serving nine years for drug offences – amid claims he had been messaging other women.

The source adds, "Lauren wants to find her Mr Right and settle down, so when she sees her other friends living the life she’s always wanted, it hurts."

In a recent episode of CGD, Lauren was seen opening up to close pal Marnie Simpson – who is pregnant with her first baby – about her desire to be a  mum. Lauren told her, "I can’t wait. I’m broody, aren’t I!"

The source adds, "Friends think Lauren turns to alcohol and partying to try to prove she’s having fun but, deep down, she really wants to turn her back on the club scene and be a mum."
