She's got notoriously rocky relationship history
Lauren Goodger has opened up about the traumatic childhood betrayal that’s affected her relationships ever since.
Speaking on Celebs Go Dating to Celeb dating agents Paul Carrick Brunson and Anna Williamson, Lauren explained that she’d been given away by her mum at just four years old, and believes that’s had a profound effect on how she forms attachments now.
“My family are from East London,” she said.
"When I was four my mum gave me to my dad but kept my older brother and sister. She said she couldn’t cope with three on her own. For me that was heartbreaking.
“I can only think that I’ve been rejected.
"That’s why I stay in these long relationships when I shouldn’t, and however much they put me through, I still stay there for a long time.”
Lauren split from her childhood sweetheart Mark Wright in 2011 and since then has had a string of relationships with her-self confessed “type”, including one with jailbird Joey Morrison from behind bars.
But Anna, who joined the series in season six, insists that Lauren’s now in a great place to meet a good man.

“This isn't the Lauren that people will expect from the Lauren portrayed on front of the mags,” she told The Sun.
"She is a very intelligent and articulate lady. She's also a very soft soul but she's no push over and I really respect her.”
Anna added, “She is very honest about her past relationships and to some degree how bad they have been.
"She wants to be happy but she doesn't feel the need to be in a relationship which is a great place to be in. She is a very independent woman now."
