Kym Marsh led the Corrie celebrations at the gay pride festival in Manchester this weekend and looked quite the coquette.
The 40-year-old soap favourite turned out as Princess Rapunzel - complete with long blonde braids, fake eyelashes to rival a camel and a fabulous purple tutu.
Not to be outdone by her mother, Kym’s daughter Emilie Cunliffe appeared equally stunning in a short black dress with flowing tresses and smokey eyes as she performed on the main stage with Damon Hess.
Coronation Street is a regular at the festival and ate up this year’s “Once Upon A Time” theme with a gingerbread house version of the show’s sets including the Rovers Return and the corner shop.
Kym made the most of her leading role and thousands of cheering fans, snapping loads of pouty selfies along the way.
Kym was flanked by cast mates Kate Connor, Anthony Cotton, Daniel Brocklebank, Katie McGlynn and Hayley Tamaddon. The Corrie gang was joined by openly gay rugby player – Keegan Hirst – who recently made his television debut on First Dates.
Kym took to Twitter to promote the event’s message of love NOT hate, posting this snap of the Corrie bowling day with the caption: “Photo of our fun bowling day to support @ManchesterPride great day great fun!!”
Kym’s character, Michelle, is in for a bigger ride as her pregnancy storyline heats up this week. Watch Coronation Street on ITV tonight at 7.30pm.
