Kirstie Allsopp has come under fire for 'smashing up' her children's iPads after they broke her rules on screen time.
Kirstie revealed she destroyed the expensive tablets back in June after her two sons, Bay, 12 and Oscar, ten, had broken the rules she'd set over how long they could spend playing games on their iPads.
Speaking to Channel 5's Jeremy Vine Show, Kirstie - who has offered up a number of parenting tips over the years - explained: "In June I smashed my kids' iPads, not in a violent way. I actually banged them on the table leg."
She went on to add: "There is a game called Fortnite and another PUBG and I decided... we had made all sorts of rules and all sorts of times when we said you can't play them and all those rules got broken and in the end I said 'Right that is it, I have to physically (break them)'."
Yikes.
While Jeremy Vine's co-presenter Storm Huntley praised Kirstie for her parenting technique, telling her: "I like that, that is my kind of parenting," Kirstie did receive backlash over her methods online.
Taking to Twitter, fans criticised Kirstie for destroying the iPads - which cost between £300 and £750 - and setting a bad example for her kids.
One person wrote: "How can kirstie allsopp moan that her kids are spending too much time paying 'violent games like fortnite'...then smash their iPads in front of them."
Another commented: "I'm all for parents revoking their kids right to use their iPads or giving them away entirely if they refuse to abide by rules, but smashing them up..? Violently breaking your child's belongings in front of their eyes doesn't sit right with me, sorry Kirstie Allsopp."

This isn't the first time Kirstie's parenting methods have been scrutinised. The presenter - who also shares home decor tips, such as making your own Christmas decorations - was previously criticised for flying business class while leaving her children to fly solo in economy.
"Obviously this wasn’t the case when they were little but now they are big enough to sit separately, they do," she told The Sun.
“Club Class should be a huge treat you’ve worked hard for. If kids get used to it, what do they have to work towards? It seems like an absurd waste of money and very spoiling."
