She revealed her hopes of a future with boyfriend Pete Davidson earlier this month amid her ongoing divorce battle with Kanye West.
And insiders say Kim Kardashian – who shares four children with her soon-to-be ex-husband – is keen to start a family with the 28-year-old comedian.
A source says, “Kim and Pete have become very serious and while things started out as a bit of fun, they’ve fallen madly in love and are naturally starting to talk about taking the next step in their relationship – which for Pete is to have a child of his own.”
Pete was just seven years old when his father, Scott – a New York firefighter – tragically died during the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The Saturday Night Live host has previously opened up about his hopes to become a dad.
“I just want to have a kid, that’s it,” he said. “I think that would be awesome. I want to be there for something or do something that I didn’t have growing up.”
The source says, “Kim knows how much Pete wants to experience fatherhood and she’s seen first-hand how incredible he is with her own children, so it’s something they’re talking about.
“While she swore off having any more kids following her split from Kanye, being with Pete has forced her to have a change of heart. Falling deeply in love again has made her want to experience having another baby – and the opportunity to create a blended family together.”
Kim, 41, used a surrogate to carry Chicago, four, and Psalm, two, due to a life-threatening pregnancy condition called placenta accreta which caused serious complications during the star’s first two pregnancies with daughter North, eight, and six- year-old son, Saint.
Last month, Pete’s mum, Amy, appeared to give her approval to the pair’s baby plans. Commenting on a sweet snap of the couple on a Kardashian fan account on Instagram, one fan wrote, “She will be pregnant with his child by the end of the year.”
Clearly excited by the prospect of becoming a grandmother, Pete’s mum replied, “Yayyy!”
Kim further fuelled the rumour mill during a recent interview to promote her family’s new reality show.
During a game of “Most Likely”, Kim and her famous siblings were asked who would be the most likely to have as many kids as their “momager” Kris Jenner, 66, who has six.
While they all agreed it would be Kim’s elder sister, Kourtney, 42, The Skims entrepreneur also held up a photo of herself.

After Kourt told him "you're shoved so far up Kim's ass" and "You're such a f—king loser", he clapped back and said, "Scott's never going to marry you!" Kourt didn't take his jibe lightly and ended up slapping him around the face.

And while Pete has also revealed he’s open to adopting a child, insiders say the couple are exploring various possibilities.
The source adds, “Kim and Pete are looking into different options right now from IVF and surrogacy to adoption and even doing both.
“With Kim’s 42nd birthday looming in October, she knows she doesn’t have much time to waste if they’re going to explore the natural route, but ultimately, they just want to raise a child together so however that happens, they’ll be happy to get that opportunity.”
