Kim Kardashian and Tristan Thompson made headlines last week after they were spotted hanging out together in Miami.
And now, an insider reveals that their escapades – which involved watching Lionel Messi’s footballing debut for Inter Miami FC and later grabbing food at a Japanese eatery – have landed them in hot water with her sister and his on / off ex-girlfriend, Khloé.
Khloé, 39, and NBA star Tristan, 32 – who share two children, True, five, and one-year-old Tatum – were in a rocky relationship between 2016 and 2021. It was plagued by his multiple infidelities, the most recent being his relationship with Maralee Nichols, during which he fathered a child with her.
And a source now reveals to Closer that Khloé felt threatened by her sister and ex-partner’s “cosy” display last weekend.
“Khloé was already on edge about the situation, but now she feels left out and betrayed,” the insider says. “Even if it’s just platonic, it still feels like a knife in the back. The situation is tough because Khloé is so dependent on Kim. But even she has her limits and Kim’s little night out with Tristan was the last straw. She’s told her to back off.”
The Kardashian clan have long had tense relations with Tristan over his disloyalty to Khloé, but last weekend was not the first time Kim has spent time with the sportsman since his split from her younger sister.
And while mum-of-two Khloé was previously keen to redeem Tristan’s image in the public eye, we are told that Kim, who recently spilt with Pete Davidson, socialising with him is a step too far.
The source says, “When this started, Khloé was very encouraging because she wanted her family to validate Tristan so people wouldn’t be so hard on her. But then things turned recently, and she snapped. As far as Kim’s concerned, Khloé should be thanking her for keeping an eye on the father of her children.”
