Kerry Katona has reached out for support in a candid Instagram post after separating from her husband George Kay.

The mum-of-five posted a word image on Instagram yesterday evening, revealing that she was feeling low and needed someone to take care of her.

Kerry, 36, wrote: "I can't be strong all the time! Sometimes I just need someone to wrap me in their arms and say 'I love you' and just let me cry... It's ok for it not to be ok."

Kerry, who suffers from bipolar disorder, was immediately inundated with comments from fans, praising her for being so honest about her feelings.

One wrote: "Sorry you feel like this, here for you if ever need a friend, sending you lots of hugs cuddles kisses and best wishes, please take care and god bless you."

Another added: "Yeh it is ok for it not to be OK, we are all human end of day Kerry," whilst someone else wrote: "It's okay to have a bad day. Have an early night and snuggle with your babies. They are your rocks and the reason why you do everything you do to keep smiling. Sending you a huge hug and lots of love."

Then this morning, Kerry added another word image which read: "We all have the power to shape our day and life, so no matter what is happening in our lives, we can make the decision to be happy and enjoy every moment..."

She again received supportive comments from her fans, who wrote: "Life's for living," "I always say in life we reap what we sow. Live life to the fullest," and "You inspire the life out of me."

This comes after Kerry announced her separation from her husband George Kay after three years of marriage.

On Loose Women two weeks ago, Kerry opened up about the breakdown of her marriage, saying that she felt really positive about it.

She said: "I am absolutely amazing, I'm really good, yes I'm going through another divorce but it is what it is, it's over and I'm happy and I'm moving on."

"He's the father of my children and I wish George nothing but love and happiness. I hope he finds the peace to get the help he needs but I can't continue to help someone when I need help myself and to take responsibility for my actions.

"I got to the point where I said enough is enough. I'm drained but I'm not sad, I'm excited about my future, and I feel empowered I walked away from a relationship that wasn't a right one to be in."

Stay strong, Kerry. ❤️
