Kerry Katona “calls social services” to look after her kids on snow days, the star joked during an appearance on Good Morning Britain
Mum of four Kerry appeared on the show for a debate on whether schools should do more to stay open on snowy days.
Much of the UK awoke today to a thick blanket of snow, meaning many schools closed their doors to staff and pupils. For kids, a snow day means a surprise day home from school and chance to make snowmen and have snowball fights (ah, mems) but for working mums it can prove to be a childcare nightmare.
“I embrace the snow and think kids should get out there," she told hosts Susanna Reid, Kate Garraway and Ben Shepherd.

“I have had to take my youngest to work and I'm lucky enough to be able to do that. I completely understand childcare is very difficult, especially when you work 9-5,” before telling fellow working mum Kerry Davies, “You should do what I do, and just call social services.”
Kerry Davies, who insists that schools should stay open no matter what then joked back, “My kids do that for me!”

“I think we’re a little bit premature sometimes,” she argued. “We see a snow flake and we become snowflakes.”
But viewers were less than impressed, with many commenting that Kerry Katona shouldn't be speaking on an issue that affects normal working people.
“@GMB Kerry Katona? Honestly?” asked one. “How desperate are you ? Social Services are her option for child care apparently."
“Guarantee Kerry Katona hasn't got a 9-5 job so she can sit there being all funny and not give a hoot about childcare and snowdays,” said another.
