Kerry Katona celebrated her second anniversary with George Kay last month and in an interview with OK! magazine, opened up about why she gave her marriage another chance.

The 35-year-old kicked George out of their marital home in Sussex last October amid accusations of domestic violence. According to The Sun, the beefcake rugger pulled Kerry’s hair and left her with bruises on her face and arms.

Kay was formally charged with assault and possessing a banned weapon (that turned out to be a taser-style device). But in a dramatic turn of events, the case was dropped in July this year.

The reconciliation is no doubt down to their 18-month old daughter, Dylan Jorge, who survived a traumatic birth to become the apple of George’s eye and sibling to Kerry’s four other children - Molly, 15, Lilly-Sue, 13, Heidi, nine, and Max, eight.

Kerry told OK! that George was never banned from seeing the kids during their 11 months apart. She explained: "There was never a restraining order, that was reported incorrectly.

"He was allowed to come and pick up DJ when he wanted. I've never felt threatened. I've been no angel in this either. I can get angry and mad too."

The Atomic Kitten has had nothing but kind words for her other half since they rekindled their romance. She claimed: "He’s not a monster, he’s one of the nicest men you can meet. He’s sweet, he’s funny, but we've both got fiery tempers."

Sources close to the couple previously told Closer magazine that both George and Kerry are desperate for another baby. But Kerry said she won’t rush into any baby-making plans until she gets through her current financial troubles.

Kerry declared: "You don’t have a baby with someone because you don’t want to lose them.

“We’ve got five kids already and it’s hard to get time alone. Can you imagine bringing another one into the mix? I’m giving my marriage a go and no one can criticise me, this is what we want."

Kerry was declared bankrupt for the second time in 2013 and has another 12 months before she’s back on solid ground and ready to fund a growing brood.

In the meantime, the Whole Again singer is back in the arms of her man and not afraid to PDA it. The sassy star has never backed down from a fight and is prepared to defend her marriage to the end.

She warned: "I know people will say I’m a mug, but is giving my marriage another go a crime?

"We want a fresh start in our marriage, and I’m giddy about that now. We’re all touchy feely.

"I missed him so much, and now I feel like this is a whole new romance again."

We hope Kerry and George get their marriage back on track.
