Their friendship traces back to 2004 when they hit it off on the third series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, but the past few months have brought Katie Price and Kerry Katona even closer thanks to their recent panto stint in Cinderella.
And now, sources say that the inseparable best pals are pinning hopes on a lucrative 2025 full of joint projects – and they have big plans to rake in the cash.
An insider reveals, ‘Katie and Kerry want to be mega-millionaires before the year is out. They have plans to rebuild their empires, and Katie has pledged that she is going to be the best friend and support to Kerry. In Katie's New Year's resolutions, she vowed to make more money than ever before with Kerry, and has already spoken about having their own reality programme together, which is in early talks with a production company. They also want to do an “all-woman tour” after their panto success, work together on OnlyFans for VIP projects, and record a single to release as a dance anthem for the summer in Ibiza.’
Katie, 46, and Kerry, 44, have been joined at the hip since sharing the stage in panto, with the former glamour model even moving into the ex-Atomic Kitten singer’s Cheshire home over the festive season. And last week, the duo put on a very animated display as they locked lips and posed up a storm at a Geordie Shore event in London. ‘So good to get out of the house and actually get dressed up and spend time with my bestie,’ Kerry wrote.
The former girlband star – who is single after splitting from fiancé Ryan Mahoney in November – and Katie – who has been dating MAFS’ JJ Slater for almost a year - have had notoriously chequered lives in the public eye, and there are many parallels between their experiences. Like Kerry, Katie has been through three marriage breakdowns, respectively with Peter Andre - the father of her children Junior, 19, and Princess, 16 - Alex Reid, and Kieran Hayler, with whom she shares Jett, 11, and Bunny, 10. Katie is also mum to son Harvey, 22, from her relationship with former footballer Dwight Yorke.
Meanwhile, Kerry is also a mum to five children from her marriages - Molly, 23, and Lilly-Sue, 21, with Brian McFadden, Heidi, 17, and Maxwell, 16, with Mark Croft, and 10-year-old Dylan-Jorge with the late George Kay.
As well as their tumultuous domestic history, Katie and Kerry have also been candid about their struggles with substance abuse and mental health struggles. In 2021, Brighton-born Katie crashed her car under the influence of alcohol and drugs, while Kerry previously detailed a time when cocaine became her ‘crutch’. Among the tribulations in their personal lives, their friendship has taken a hit at times, thought to have happened most severely in 2007 when Katie allegedly called her best friend a ‘druggie’, resulting in radio silence between them for months.
Despite their turbulent relationship – which has seen them fall out and make up multiple times over the years - Katie told Closer last year, ‘We've gone through so much. We are always there for each other.’
But insiders say that Katie and Kerry’s inner circle are worried about their friendship and how close they’ve grown again, with fears it could all turn sour.
‘Pals are concerned that this newly heralded best friend for life “sisterhood” between Kerry and Katie will inevitably turn toxic and end in tears. Neither sees the dangers that lie ahead - everyone close around predicts a destructive fall out is 100 per cent on the cards,’ the source says. ‘But while it lasts, they will be inseparable. Katie is also set to be Kerry’s private nurse in the coming weeks, as Kerry is about to have her lower facelift. Kerry thinks Katie looks fantastic after all her surgery and is happy to look like her after her own bout of tweaks – she’s joked that they’ll be like surgery twins!’
Both mums-of-five have a vast history of going under the knife. Just last year alone, Kerry had a nose job, cosmetic eyelid surgery and a brow lift, while surgery fanatic Katie had her 17th boob job and a £10,000 facelift. Kerry is set to follow suit by getting the latter, recently telling her followers that she was ‘so excited’ for the procedure.
And now, the insider adds how the women’s hankering for tweakments has also left their close ones concerned. The source says, ‘It seems like Katie is addicted to being size “sub-zero” and Kerry is on her own body revamp weight loss journey now too, as well as planning further surgery in her bid for the perfect glow-up body. Neither will listen to advice from family and their kids, who are begging them not to mess about with their bodies. Kerry stands by her weight loss claiming it’s going to help her with her constant back pain.
‘But above all, Kerry and Katie are high on their money scheming and plans of building empires. They want to prove everyone else wrong and will not stop at achieving those goals.’
