Kendall Jenner stopped sister Kim Kardashian sitting front row at her fashion shows – says reality show hindered career

Kendall Jenner has opened up about her skyrocketing career as a high fashion model.

The 18 year old – who’s walked for Marc Jacobs and Chanel, to name just a few – has admitted she felt growing up in the limelight, on Keeping Up With The Kardashians made it hard for people to take her seriously as a model.

“You know what? I want to be high fashion. I want to be taken seriously,” she told LOVE magazine.

“People think that this just came to me. But it didn’t. What I have has almost worked against me. I had to work even harder to get where I wanted because people didn’t take me seriously as a model. Because of the TV show.”

Kendall is on the cover of Love Magazine, out today

And Kendall even tried to distance herself from her family, during her shows, to stop her participation gaining extra publicity.

She explained: “Kim was invited to a lot of the shows that I was in. She called me before and was like, ‘Hey, I was invited to the show, I just wanted to let you know. Do you want me to come?’ and I was like, ‘No.’”

We would love to have seen Kim’s face. But we’re sure she’d have been pretty understanding about the whole thing.
