Katie Price vows: 'We'll be together again'

Hell appeared to freeze over last week when Katie Price and Peter Andre finally called a truce on their bitter 10-year feud– with the former glamour model apologising to her ex on social media, insisting they “love each other really”.

Just days before the 10th anniversary of the end of their marriage, Jordan – who has Junior, 13, and Princess, 11, with Pete – tweeted, "I had a tough year last year! A person stirred trouble with me and Pete, which he reacted to protect our children! Yes I said things but I was upset and didn’t mean harm! Me and Pete love each other really lol! I’m sorry @MrPeterAndre if I hurt you!"

Peter replied, "Do you know what, I really appreciate you saying that. Thank you." He also added two smiley emojis.

And insiders reveal Jordan – real name Katie Price – is thrilled she got a positive reaction from her ex, who is married to doctor Emily MacDonagh, 29, with whom he has Amelia, five, and Theo, two.

A source says, "Katie constantly goads Pete to get a reaction – anything, either good or bad, is seen as validation in her eyes.

"But she never expected him to do that. It’s the perfect outcome for her as she now thinks it’s opened up the potential for them to call a proper truce and open up a new friendship.

"She’s even talking about them working together again. Her mum Amy’s thrilled too, she’s always had a soft spot for Pete and gets stressed when they’re not on good terms and says it’s awful for the kids.

"She’d been the one to persuade Katie to apologise to help draw a line under their issues. After everything Katie has been through over the past year, Amy wants her to find peace."

After their shock Twitter exchange, sources tell Closer that her pals have become worried about the level of her obsession with her ex-husband, as it emerges she has a "shrine" to the pop star.

In a recent episode of her reality show My Crazy Life, Jordan revealed how she’s kept her enormous pink wedding dress – saying she wants to have it "reconditioned", which is believed to be so that she can wear it again.

And pals say Jordan is still obsessed with the fairy-tale wedding she had with Pete, who she’s continued to refer to as "the love of my life" – and is thrilled they’ve made up now.

The source says, "Katie still obsessively reminisces about her wedding with Pete, saying it was the best day of her life. She’s secretly held on to every keepsake from the day, including her tiara, copies of their vows, speeches, pictures, dried flowers from her bouquet and even the hair extensions she wore and her wedding night lingerie."

In an episode of her reality show that aired in January 2017, ex Kieran Hayler, 31, urged her to throw out mementos from her wedding to Pete. She later told the camera, "If Kieran thinks I’m going to get rid of everything from my own life, he’s got another thing coming."

Following their split, Kieran opened up about Jordan’s continued obsession with Pete, revealing, "There’s not a day that went by in five years that I was married to Kate that she didn’t mention his name. For somebody to talk about their ex-husband so much, it almost makes you think that maybe he was the love of her life and she never got over that."

And friends of the mum-of-five are urging her to let go. The source says, "Katie also has boxes filled with Pete keepsakes – letters and birthday cards, CDs, calendars and even a pillowcase which she says still smells of his aftershave."

The source adds, "Friends have warned her that having an obsessive shrine to a man she divorced ten years ago isn’t healthy, and worry she’ll never move on if she continues clinging on to her past. They think she’s deluded and that her obsession is a bit scary."
