Katie Price may love her mother very much but it’s clear she doesn’t want her helping in her love life with husband Kieran Hayler.
In fact, the glamour model went to such great lengths to avoid any advice from mum Amy earlier in their relationship that she told her he was gay.
The Loose Women panellist publicly revealed her cheeky plan during an appearance on the show today whilst discussing claims that the late Diana, Princess of Wales, asked the Queen to help with her marriage to Prince Charles when they were having problems, something the royal apparently refused to do.
The ITV show’s stars were talking about how much they would interfere with their children’s lives when Katie blurted out that her mother has some experience in that, declaring: “My mum definitely does.”
Reality star Katie, who is parent to son Harvey from her relationship with former footballer Dwight Yorke, Princess and Junior with ex Peter Andre, and to Bunny and Jett with hubby Kieran, said she actually lied to some people about why some of the men she dated were in her house.
She said: “With Kieran I had to pretend he was gay.”
She added that Amy would interrogate Kieran, asking him: “What are you doing round, are you here to sponge off my daughter?”
But it seems that in itself helped as Katie said the more Kieran was criticised by her mum, the more it made her want to be with him.
However, while Katie may not be keen on her own mum’s advice, she does take notice of her mother-in-law as she often agrees with the star.
Katie, who has spoken at length about Kieran's infidelities in the past, said: “All through the problems, she’d been on my side, not Kieran’s. She had a go at him.”
