Katie Price shocked onlookers as she lounged by the pool on another holiday with boyfriend JJ Slaterand her son Harvey in Cyprus last week, as she showed off the results of her recent two stone weight loss.
In our exclusive pictures, Katie’s gaunt frame can be seen as she kisses and cuddles JJ on a sunlounger before taking a dip in the water.
And the 46-year-old’s followers were quick to question the former glamour model’s smaller frame on another recent Instagram post she shared just before jetting off. One user commented, ‘What’s happened to your leg? Looks abnormally thin’, while others questioned whether Katie has jumped on the ‘Ozempic bandwagon’, referring to the weight-loss drug.
And insiders say that Katie’s family are just as concerned over her recent weight loss.
A source tells Closer, ‘Katie’s recent weight loss hasn’t gone unnoticed by family and friends. She’s minuscule – a size six – but claims that being emotionally stable and in a happy relationship has just meant she’s been healthier. She says she’s lost almost two stone in just eight weeks naturally through eating healthier food, taking supplements and exercising more.
‘But others around her are speculating that she’s on the Ozempic skinny jab. They’ve noticed she’s got the tell-tale signs of it as her weight has come off really fast, but Katie denies it. Her friends just want her to be happy and healthy – she certainly didn’t need to lose any weight in the first place.’
The I’m A Celebrity! 2004 star – who was arrested in August for failing to attend a bankruptcy hearing – returned from Turkey last month having undergone her sixth facelift. Katie was joined in Turkey by her boyfriend of seven months, MAFS star JJ, who had his teeth done at the same time. Despite their 14-year age difference, the pair’s relationship seems to be going from strength to strength, with Katie calling her relationship with JJ, 32, ‘healthy’.
Their romance comes after Katie split from on/off fiancé Carl Woods for good in November 2023 after he alleged that she’d cheated on him. The mum of five was previously married to Peter Andre – with whom she shares Junior, 19, and Princess, 17 – as well as Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler – the father of Jett, 11, and Bunny, 10. Katie is also mum to disabled son Harvey, 22, with ex Dwight Yorke.
According to our source, Katie claims that her stable relationship with JJ after years of roller-coaster romances is the real reason for her dramatic weight loss.
They explain, ‘Katie insists she’s happy with her weight now and says she has only put on weight when she’s been in emotionally unstable relationships. With Carl, for example, she said she lived on takeouts, plus she couldn’t exercise because of her injuries to her feet [sustained when she jumped off a wall on holiday].
‘Whenever she’s put on weight, she’s been unhappy, but now she claims she’s feeling great mentally and physically and wants people to be happy for her.’
But despite having six facelifts and 17 boob jobs to her name, Katie has admitted that she isn’t finished yet.
The insider says, ‘Katie has Peter Pan syndrome. She doesn’t ever want to get old and says, “Who wants wrinkles and flab when you can be hot, tight and sexy?” She says that she and Madonna have the same mindset, which is that they both feel getting old is not an option for them.
‘After losing weight, she’s now saying that she doesn't like her bum and has told friends that she’s going to get it boosted with fillers – despite saying she’d never do that again. Her friends are trying to tell her that she’s great the way she is and urge her to stop messing with her body but, as usual, she’s just not listening.’
And while Katie has neither confirmed nor denied whether or not she’s using Ozempic, cosmetic practitioner Amar Suchde tells Closer that he believes she is. He says, ‘Katie’s rapid weight loss suggests she could be using Ozempic. The use of Ozempic has risen dramatically in the last year or so – everyone wants to look the best version of themselves and, for a lot of people, that’s losing a bit of weight. We know Katie is very keen to chase her youth and look her best, but she is not someone who would need to use Ozempic in the first place. The proportions of her body look totally out of sync and any more intense weight loss could be dangerous.
‘One of the tell-tale signs of Ozempic usage is “Ozempic face” – where, due to the extreme weight loss, the face is left hollow and gaunt. Katie does not have this, but that could be due to her most recent facelift and potentially fillers to plump it up. The facelift looks unnatural – less is always more and Katie has overdone it here.’
