Katie Price is hardly a stranger to controversy. Whether she’s talking candidly on Loose Women, or dressed up as a pony for her TV show, she never fails to get people talking.

However, it’s her controversial appearance on This Morning last week that is currently haunting her.

Katie appeared on the show to discuss the fact that her son, Harvey, is constantly being trolled online. She wanted to talk about her campaign for tougher punishments when it comes to online bullying, and used some examples of things that people have written about Harvey, 14, who is blind, suffers from autism, has ADHD and Prader-Willi syndrome.

But she shocked viewers and hosts Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby when she repeatedly used the n-word.

During her interview, Katie was explaining the vile messages she sees about her son which include him being called a "Blind, black n-----", and a "Go----g".

The TV presenters agreed they were offensive and said: "Yes, it's deeply offensive, and people will be offended by the fact it's been said today."

However, later on in the interview the reality star repeated the racist word and said: "Calling my son a n----- isn't acceptable," which lead to Phil telling her off.

He firmly explained: "You don't need to say it again."

Despite being admonished by various celebrities on Twitter, in a new interview with The Sun, Katie has defended her use of the word.

“I’m glad people are outraged… If they were half as outraged about the abuse my son gets as they are that I used that word, maybe something would be done about it.

“He gets called worse things than that everyday and it has to stop.

“If a footballer said things like that on a pitch there would be uproar. So why are web trolls ok to say it to an innocent child?”
