Katie Price has postponed two shows on her UK tour in order to support her mother following her recent terminal lung disease diagnosis.
The Loose Women star posted on The Theatre Royal Brighton’s Facebook page to apologise to fans and to explain that she had to reschedule. She wrote: "Unfortunately due to unforeseen family circumstances my date in Brighton on Wednesday 6th September 2017 has been rearranged to Sunday 26th November 2017.
"I would like to send my apologies for any inconvenience caused by this postponement, and really hope that you are able to join me at my new date. Thanks for all of your support!"
Representatives also confirmed that her Southampton date had been moved to 1st December, and fans who were planning to attend had been contacted.
Katie first opened up about her mother’s condition last week on Twitter. She told fans: "Just to clarify for all of you reading My mum has been diagnosed with a lung disease called Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) there is unfortunately no known cure for this.
“As a shock to us all, Me and my family are proud to be supporting the British lung foundation to help support awareness and raising funds for research of IPF.
"With this we can help in other diagnosis and create awareness for people with IPF. The condition has an average life expectancy of 3-5 years. There are two known pills which if they work can slow things down."
She added: “My mum is a fighter she is working out everyday, going to work and living life to the full please help in supporting The British Lung Foundation so we can make a difference."
Katie’s mum Amy recently appeared on Loose Women alongside her, and talked candidly about her condition in a heartbreaking interview, telling viewers, “I haven’t got long left”.
Speaking about how she’s dealing with the condition, she added: "I know I’ve got it, but because I don’t feel bad, I’m tolerant of it.
"I think it’s the way we deal with things, like OK what’s the next stage then, what have I got to do?”
Katie’s tour ‘An Audience with Katie Price’ sees the model talk candidly about her life, and perform her new single ‘I Got U’.
It's already got off to a bumpy start after she shouted at a drunken gate-crasher during a show in Preston, and joked about the size of his manhood.
