Katie Hopkins: ‘I don’t apologise for stealing my husband Mark from his wife’

Not content with enraging the mothers of any children named Tyler and Chardonay, or the obese, or even those who dare to shop in Primark, Katie Hopkins has now set her sights on victims of an affair.

The outspoken former Apprentice contestant told a UK magazine that she does not regret having an affair with her current husband, (then-someone-else’s-husband), Mark Cross.

‘I don't apologise for stealing my husband Mark from his wife. Our affair was exhilarating, our time together has been a hoot and we're happy,’ she boasted.

‘If you aren't happy with your partner, an affair can be liberating. In my first affair with a married man, I offered him the opposite of the life he had with his wife. I was young, carefree, childless and spontaneous.’

The mother of her three aptly named children India, Poppy and Maximillian (her child with Mark Cross), was famously pictured having sex with Mark in a field in 2007- while he was still married.

However the 38-year-old was not so laid-back about being cheated on herself.

‘Being cheated on is different,’ she confusingly explained.

‘My ex-husband did the dirty on me with a woman he worked with. From his perspective, she was younger and had a perky set of assets that I didn't have.

‘I found out when I stopped being the trusting wife and started being a little bit more suspicious. A late dinner here, a weekend away there, a strange series of phone calls late at night.

‘I was cross that I'd been cheated on. I was angry no one had told me. How very dare he choose her instead of me!’

But it seems the business woman has turned over a new leaf, explaining:

‘I would never cheat on my husband now. There's too much at stake. When you have a family, you can't think like a single person any more. There are too many little hearts to look after.

‘I couldn't look at my kids if I'd let them down like this. It would be too big a price to pay.’
