Following her insults recently about Lily Allen’s baby weight, calling Sam Bailey a ‘fat mum in a jumpsuit’ and comparing Susanna Reid to a Citron Xsara Picasso, Katie, 38, has slammed Rebecca Adlington for reportedly having a nose job.
Writing in her UK newspaper column, Katie said: “They picked on your nose, but you changed it. What’s next, Becky? Your eyes? Your hair? Your boobs?”
She said that Rebecca, 25, had ‘let the internet trolls win’, adding: “You’d think that a gold medal would make you invincible.”
Katie took to Twitter to continue her rant against Rebecca, writing: “Modifying your face to placate bullies is never the answer. Modifying their behaviour by ignoring them is far superior.”
Her tweets and comments resulted in her being slammed for being a hypocrite, with many people tweeting her back that she is one of the bullies herself.
During an interview last year, Rebecca spoke about her insecurities following her break down after spending time with beauty queen Amy Willerton in the I’m a Celebrity jungle.
Rebecca said: “I’ve got a very big nose. That’s what most of the negative comments on Twitter are about – my nose.
“People say, ‘Oh God you look like a dolphin’, or ‘I didn’t realise they let whales into the Olympics, but at least you should be able to swim faster with a nose like that.’”
Although it hasn’t been confirmed, it was reported this week that Rebecca has had surgery to slim her nose down.
