The 24-year-old tweeted the ex-Eastenders actress: "Think @westbrookdanni needs a good night out. Fancy it? My treat? Xx."
Many followers took her tweet to be a mocking statement towards the actress, who has fallen on hard times after a stint in rehab and losing her home.
Soon after sending the tweet, both Josie and Danniella started receiving threats, reportedly including tweets offering to help the 42-year-old ‘overdose on cocaine’.

Mum-of-three Josie was forced to call the police over the threats, but was still left confused over how her tweet could be taken sarcastically.
She wrote: "I don't understand why @Metro_Ents are saying my tweet to @westbrookdanni is nasty? I was genuinely trying to be nice?"
"Apologies @westbrookdanni if you was offended, that honestly wasn't my intention xx."
Josie was also trolled just hours earlier after it was revealed that she had gotten engaged to her boyfriend, a heavily tattooed ex-convict.
