Jorgie Porter, who plays bubbly and ditzy Theresa McQueen in the hit Channel 4 soap, appeared on Phillip Schofield's Text Santa 24-hour presenting marathon earlier this week.

But, after witnessing her "random and hyper behaviour", a handful of shocked viewers took to Twitter to accuse her of being drunk on live TV.

One viewer said: "What's wrong with Jorgie Porter on #TextSanta24 is she bladdered?"

Another added: "Is @misJORGIEPORTER drunk or what??"

Clearly irritated by the comments, the Hollyoaks actress was quick to put the accusations to rest.

She responded simply: "Nope, sorry - that's just me."

She also retweeted a number of posts, which said she was naturally so bubbly.

So that's that, then.

Meanwhile 52-year-old Phillip's epic presenting stint ended on This Morning at 11am, where he was joined by his wife Steph - who also stayed awake for the entire duration - his co-host Amanda Holden and Gok Wan as the final minutes were counted down.

Just before the clock turned 11am Phillip was seen leaving the ITV studio hand-in-hand with Steph to huge cheers.
