With six children and six dogs and ducks between them, Stacey Solomon and husband Joe Swash have a home that’s never quiet – but there’s more chaos on the way as Stacey is reportedly looking to adopt some rabbits.
And insiders tell Closer that Stacey’s quest to turn their £1.2m home – nicknamed Pickle Cottage – into an animal sanctuary is starting to worry Joe, 42.
Our source reveals, ‘Stacey is now wanting to rescue rabbits at Pickle Cottage to go with the ducks and start realising her dream of turning her home into an animal sanctuary. She gets so much joy from the animals, as do the kids, and she just wants to live the simple life.
‘It sounds cute, but Joe’s already worrying about the extra chaos and isn’t sure how much more they can take – their lives are really full-on as it is!’
Stacey, 35, and Joe are well known for their hectic household. X Factor star Stacey has two older children, Zachary, 15, and Leighton, 11, and shares Rex, four, Rose, three, and one-year-old Belle with her husband of two years, while EastEnders star Joe also has his own son, Harry, 16, from a previous relationship.
Stacey has made it clear that she wants to put her family first, and recently described being a stay-at-home mum as her ‘ultimate dream’.
Her new furry friends will only add to that idyllic image of domestic bliss – although insiders say Joe’s worried the reality might be a little different.
The source continues, ‘Joe had begged her to rethink the rabbit idea for another couple of years, but she’s really keen to go ahead and she has told him that her dream is that there will be even more animals to come.
‘Joe does love having all the animals and such a busy home. But he just wants to make sure that Stacey doesn’t overdo it and get herself stressed out.’
