If you’re in need of a new podcast to obsess over we’d recommend Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo’s Newlyweds.

Whether they’re reading out listeners messages, lifting the lid on Spencer Matthews and Vogue Williams’ invite to their wedding or crying over Sophie’s one year anniversary gift – it’s SO wholesome.

So much so, we had to tell Jamie when we spoke to him exclusively at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Luton and he revealed how the podcast (which was previously called Nearlyweds), came about.

“We were getting married and I thought it was ridiculous because we went to find a wedding scent.

“I was like who the hell cares about a wedding scent. Surely this needs to be documented. So we followed it up and people liked it,” he explained.

Best decision he ever made, tbh.

The former reality star then opened up about his wife Sophie and everything he said was adorable.

“My wife is truly one of the funniest people I know. She doesn't actually get [how funny she is] and so that's why it's she's the winning formula.

“She honestly makes me die with laughter,” he gushed.

And if you’ve ever listened to the podcast you’ll know that Sophie often cringes when Jamie opens up about a little too much – remember when he spoke about his piles?

LOL.

Well, Jamie also spoke about that and joked, “She does have boundaries and I don’t have any.”

Never change Jamie Laing, never change.

After quitting Made in Chelsea in 2021, Jamie’s gone on to host BBC Radio 1’s Drive Time show alongside Vick Hope and Katie Thistleton and it sounds like the trio are having a great time of it.

“It’s been so easy. We have a great time. I just knew it would work because with the three of us there's no egos.

“We all just want to come in, have a good time and go home,” Katie told us.

Jamie then admitted, “It's been amazing. We're like sisters and brothers and I’m like the annoying brother.

“They can just say whatever they want to me and I’m just like, ‘Great, let’s go.’”
