TOWIE lothario and Ex On The Beach star James Lock (also known as Lockie) is back on the market after announcing him and Megan Barton-Hanson have split.
Whilst things looked up for the couple, with them seemingly rekindling their relationship a couple of weeks back, Lockie has now confirmed they have split for good and are now just friends.
James announced the news to his 922,000 Instagram followers during a Q&A session on his Instagram stories. One person cut straight to the point, asking "are you single?" to which he responded, "Yessss!!"
Another, seemingly confused given the recent announcement him and Megan were back together, wrote, "Are you and Megan still together?" To which James replied, "No we are friends!"
It seems James has no regrets, however, as when asked what his biggest regret was he answered, "I don't regret! I learn!"
James shared his side of things after a source had told OK! Magazine Megan was "upset" about the separation. They said, "She knows it's for the best and they've realised the best thing for them to do is to call it a day."
The source acknowledged this saying, "Friends of the couple said that they have this weird connection and they can't keep away from each other, so they wouldn't be surprised if they got back together."
Regardless of whether or not they get back together it seems, for now at least, that things are officially over.
Love Island 2018 star Megan and Lockie met whilst filming the current series of Celebrity Ex On The Beach and continued to date when they headed back to Blighty, although they did admit that they wanted to take things slow.
Despite loads of PDAs, they sadly called it a day just before Christmas after they argued during a Christmas trip to New York.
A source told Mail Online at the time, "Megan's relationship with James hasn't worked despite her being hopeful after he surprised during the early days of them dating.
"As time has gone on, they have argued more and the holiday they shared together in New York last week didn't go at all to plan.
"James spent Thursday night partying with friends and well and truly enjoying his single status again."
Even though James insisted that they were never ‘officially’ together and were just good pals, it seemed for a while that they were giving their romance another go after he surprised Megan with a romantic trip away for her 28th birthday at the beginning of the month.
Taking to Instagram, Megan showed off the gifts that James had given her, including a HUGE boob-shaped cake and some Mach & Mach designer heels that come with a hefty price tag of £1,030.
Megan even confirmed the rumours, sharing a saucy snap of herself touching tongues with James with the caption, 'Are you two back together'.
They even enjoyed a sweet day out at the Sea Life centre as they posed for an adorable couple photo.
Speaking about her surprise, Megan wrote on her story, "Oh my god, what a little cutie! You're so proud of yourself!"
Megan, who has spoken out about how she wants to date men and women, recently opened up about James not being her ‘normal type’ and that she was 'shocked' that they got on so well.

Speaking to Mail Online she said, "He's not really this character that I… well I used to watch TOWIE back in the day when he was the bad boy.
"He's so down to earth. He's easy to talk to. He's so intelligent and you don't really see that on TV but, yeah, we're having a great time.
"He's really opened my eyes and we've been enjoying a lot of time together. Yeah, he's really surprised me. I didn't think he would be like that."
Sadly it seems things weren't to be, but never say never, especially when it comes to this couple...

What happened between James Lock and Yazmin Oukhellou?
Yaz and Lockie had an on/off relationship over a period of two years before finally calling it a day in 2021.
The couple first split in 2019 after Yazmin accused Lockie of cheating on her in Turkey but grew close again last summer when they holidayed together in Majorca and then Dubai during the coronavirus pandemic.
“We’ve broken up. We tried to make it work and we really thought it was going to be different this time but things don’t always work out as you’d expect,” Lockie told OK! magazine at the time.
“I have a lot of love for Yaz and a huge amount of respect for her but we’re just better apart.”
Yazmin told the same publication, “James and I have split up amicably. I love James but we’re not good together.
“It couldn’t go on the way it was so I told James we should end things and he agreed.”
Yazmin, who returned to TOWIE to confront her ex over his fling with Chloe Brockett, told New! Magazine that she will always have love for him and it would be tough filming alongside him again, “It will be awkward, but we’ve been broken up for so long now. I’ll always love him – it would be nice if we could be mates."
What happened with James Lock and Danielle Armstrong?
These two were one of TOWIE's strongest storylines, with James and Dani getting together in 2014. A few months after they joined the show, James was hit by cheating allegations. He then came clean and admitted he was unfaithful at the start of their romance, and Danielle agreed to give things another go.
They famously had more drama in 2015 when Danielle called it a day just as he was about to pop the question in Marbella.
They finally called it a day in 2016, and it's safe to say they're not pals.
