After news of Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne’s bitter split surfaced last month, Closer reported that they had been in a ‘constant toxic cycle’ as the EastEnders actress was ‘done wasting energy’ on her husband’s ‘bulls**t’.
Now, insiders reveal that Jac is already looking to move on, with the first step being a girls’ holiday where she can let her hair down.
A source close to the soap star – whose engagement ring was stolen in Spain last summer during a masked raid – says, ‘Jac will be using the insurance money from her engagement ring for a luxury holiday rather than getting a new one. She deserves a girls’ trip, it’s just the ticket she needs to regain her mojo, where she can live it up carefree and get chatted up. This revenge holiday will teach a lesson to Dan.’
Jac, 32, and former TOWIE star Dan, 33, had been married for seven years and together for over a decade when their split made headlines last month. A joint statement from the couple explained, ‘Jacqueline and Dan are handling things privately, choosing to keep their lives and relationship out of the public eye. Their children remain their top priority, surrounded by love and care from both parents – something that will never change.’
The couple – who share daughters Ella, 10, and Mia, six – met at an awards ceremony in 2013, reportedly when Dan’s ex-girlfriend Megan Tomlin was pregnant with his son Teddy. They went on to tie the knot in 2017, but just a year later, their marriage was plagued by cheating rumours after Dan was linked to Love Island All Stars winner Gabby Allen. While the pair strongly denied the claims, Dan and Jac briefly split amid the infidelity speculation. They did reconcile, but their marriage was to be tested again, as Dan faced allegations that he kissed former Love Islander Alexandra Cane in a nightclub and that he had a threesome with his Celebrity Big Brother co-stars Natalie Nunn and Chloe Ayling – strongly denying those claims.
However, he issued an apology to Jac following her triumph in I'm a Celebrity..! in 2019, in which he apparently alluded to some of the philandering claims, saying, ‘I want to publicly apologise to my beautiful wife and my family for the mistakes I’ve made.’
Now, our insider explains how a holiday will be a much needed self-esteem boost for Jac, saying, ‘She wants to get dressed up, go out, and feel sexy. What happened with Dan knocked her confidence, but there are plenty of guys who would give their right arm to make her happy. Her friends just want her to be with a man who knows how to give Jac the love she deserves.’
While Dan and Jac sparked rumours that they are back together after she was pictured at his recently-bought Essex home and they tagged one another in Mother’s Day content – our source says that the actress is not taking him back.
