Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne were photographed looking undeniably loved-up on what has been touted as a ‘make or break’ holiday in Mexico last week – a mere month after they reportedly called time on their eight-year marriage.
However, after the smiles and poolside PDA, sources reveal that Jacqueline’s loved ones are worried about the couple attempting to salvage their notoriously on-off relationship, with their concerns having put a dampener on the EastEnders star’s holiday.
‘Jac has been honest about the fact that she really fears a future without Dan by her side, but her family and friends can see from a mile off that it’s extremely toxic between them and that it has been for years,’ our insider says. ‘No luxury holiday is going to change any of that. Whether it’s been the rumours of Dan being unfaithful or Jac letting loose and partying, there’s typically a big blowout row followed by them putting on a united front and pretending everything is fine.
‘Loved ones are mulling over staging an intervention upon her return, as they don’t want Dan to pull the wool over her eyes. Everyone is tired of the ups and downs of this relationship.’
The couple – who share daughters Ella, 10, and Mia, six – met at an awards ceremony in 2013, reportedly when Dan’s ex-girlfriend Megan Tomlin was pregnant with his son, Teddy. They went on to tie the knot in 2017, but their marriage became plagued by cheating claims. There have been years of rumours of Dan’s alleged infidelities – he denied cheating with Love Island All Stars winner Gabby Allen, as well as kissing another Islander, Alexandra Cane, and enjoying a threesome with Celebrity Big Brother co-stars Natalie Nunn and Chloe Ayling.
While Dan and Jac have always reconciled after brief stints apart over the years, fans thought their marriage was done and dusted for good last month following the news that the former TOWIE hunk had bought a new home in Southend – but the status of their relationship has again been thrown into question following their Mexican getaway. Now, fans are deeply concerned that Jac is setting herself up for heartache again if she stays with Dan.
