Holly Willoughby is very private with her children but she's given her fans an insight into the life of her youngest child Chester, five, by sharing a letter he wrote to the tooth fairy.

On Instagram she explained, "Slight panic when Chester lost his first tooth today and couldn't find it... I’m sure the tooth fairy will still come... 🦷 🧚🏻‍♀️".

The This Morning presenter posted a photo of the letter Chester wrote to the fairy which read, 'To tooth fairy I lost my tooth today in the grass. Please can you still come. Love Chester'.

OK. This is literally the sweetest thing we've seen all week and we're not the only ones as thousands of her Instagram followers have rushed to comment on the post.

One person commented, "Oh so adorable!! Sometimes our tooth fairy forgot to come because she had to fly all around the world and the time difference etc (not that mummy forgot!) xx".

Another suggested, "Tell him to have happy dreams that make him smile. Then when the tooth fairy comes she'll see the gap and know it's missing xx".

Holly has previously opened up about the reason she keeps her children off social media.

"When we were kids we'd go home and at least we'd have hours where nobody could get to you and you could just regather your thoughts.

"Now it's just not like that and we've seen how serious it gets: children taking their own lives," she told the Evening Standard.

And she went on to admit that she doesn't think she'll ban social media completely from her house, "I don't know if I've got the answers yet, I know if you keep lines of communication open with you're children that really helps and I think that's all you can do I think '

"I don't think you can ban it because then, you know, the biggest thing about being a child at school is not being the one that sticks out for being different."
