Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan has sparked concern with fans after revealing one of the side effects of her pregnancy.
The actress, who plays Rosie Webster on the ITV soap, shared a selfie on Instagram and opened up about her swollen feet in the caption.
She wrote: “Love my new espadrilles was just gutted that my feet didn’t fit in them in Dubai with swelling. Anyone else pregnant have really bad pregnancy swelling in their feet?
“I had it with Matilda when I was 9 months but I’ve got it early this time and I have no ankles.”
Helen’s followers then took to the comments section to express their concern that the swelling could be a sign of a more serious problem.
One warned: “Definitely go have a check up my consultant highlighted the importance of it when I casually mentioned my swelling ankles she stated how important it was it's called oedema & there maybe an underlying cause.”
“I did and had preeclampsia, my placenta ruptured during labour… be careful Hun!” wrote another.

Pre-eclampsia is a condition that causes massive swelling and soaring blood pressure and can lead to serious complications for both mother and baby if not treated. Kim Kardashian suffered with pre-eclampsia during her first preganancy and had to be induced five weeks early due to the seriousness of her condition.
Taking the concerns on board, Helen wrote: “Thank you for all the comments girls I will try reflexology! I'll keep a check on it with the swelling with my midwife."
The Corrie star is expecting her second child with footballer boyfriend Scott Sinclair. The couple’s first child Matilda will turn three later this year.
Helen previously revealed that her second pregnancy was unexpected.
"I was very happy, but I was a bit taken aback as this baby wasn't in the plan. I knew I would feel a lot better once I'd told Scott,” she told OK! magazine.
