The couple, who announced their pregnancy last month, are expecting a little bundle of joy due to arrive in October this year.
Heidi, 30, revealed to American publication US Weekly that she had gotten a call from her doctor announcing the news and ran "screaming" to tell Spencer.
The parents-to-be announced to the magazine that they will are expecting a little boy - which is what they both hoped it would be!
Heidi said: "I ran into the room and said, 'It's the doctor's office! The doctor said it's a boy!' I started screaming."
The former The Hills star revealed she doesn't plan to stop at just one baby: "I hope to have a little girl one day, but for my first child, I really wanted a son."

But thinks are a bit awkward among the Pratt family at the moment - as it turns out Spencer's sister Stephanie, who is currently appearing on Made In Chelsea, hasn't even SPOKEN to her brother since the pregnancy was announced.
In a rather awkward turn of events, Stephanie has admitted that she has been somewhat ostracised from her family since they announced their happy news on her ACTUAL BIRTHDAY.
Yep, they announced their pregnancy on her literal birthday. Can you think of anything worse? Maybe her wedding day. Still though.
Speaking to our pals over at heat, Stephanie said: "It was on my birthday and I literally just saw it on my phone... I was mad. I haven't spoken to him since."
HOLD UP.
She found out by looking on the internet?!
She didn't even get told by her OWN BROTHER that he was expecting a BABY?!
Goodness gracious.
But that's not even the worst of it. The rest of her FAMILY knew and didn't tell her: "I have a feeling they all knew. I think I'm literally the only person who didn't. I think I'm literally the only person who didn't. I just felt really left out. I don't feel part of my family."
Bless her.
We'd love to be a fly on the wall at their next family do.
