Berry was furious when she discovered Gabriel was straightening daughter Nahla’s naturally curly hair, and lightening it with highlights.

Halle is convinced that Aubry is doing this in order to play down their six-year-old’s African American roots, and make her appear completely caucasian.

She said Gabriel’s behaviour suggested to Nahla that her ‘natural appearance is not good enough,’ as it was also revealed Gabriel made racist remarks to Berry, calling her a ’n*****.’

In her testimony Halle said: ‘I strongly feel that Gabriel’s same underlying attitude is at the root in the changes which only he could have been causing to our daughter’s hair.’

HALLE BERRY TO MARRY OLIVIER MARTINEZ THIS WEEKEND

Halle sent strands of her daughter’s hair to a lab to be tested - to prove that Gabriel was interfering with it, and now apparently has proof that he was dying and straightening it.

Model Gabriel famously came to blows with Halle’s current husband, Olivier Martinez, at the end of 2012.

He left the scuffle with a horrendous facial cuts and bruises, and said he was unable to book modelling jobs for some time after this.

The Bond girl did not show in court on Monday morning for the hearing, but her lawyer Steve Kolodny did, along with Gabriel himself.

After a good deal of legal wrangling, the judge ruled that neither Halle nor Gabriel could change Nahla’s look from its natural state, which means no straightening and definitely no highlighting.

Do you think it's ever OK to dye a child's hair?
