Gemma Collins has opened up about her decision to quit I’m a Celebrity.
The 33-year-old appeared on This Morning to reveal the real reason behind her exit and admitted she knew in her heart that she never have gone to Australia.

Of her early departure, Gemma said: “I regret it terribly because on a personal level it was the dream job I always wanted. I am devastated about the events before that.
“I had been through a horrific ordeal 24 hours before I left for Australia. I was in so much shock, shock trauma.”

Gemma reportedly got into an argument with a former boyfriend the night before she was due to leave for Australia, with police needing to be called to her address.
She continued: “I have wanted to go into the jungle for three and half years – it’s the job I’ve wanted my whole life.
“In hindsight I never should have got on the plane to go. When I got there I was trying to be upbeat Gemma.

“The TV producers knew something had gone on but I covered it up. I was actually in there six days – you only saw two days. Four days on I hit rock bottom.”
The TOWIE star also dismissed reports she received her full fee, continuing: “I didn’t collect my full fee. I was given a percentage – it’s going to a charity for starving children.”
Upon her exit from the jungle, a ‘traumatised’ Gemma insisted she would never work in TV again. However, she admitted it was a ‘silly thing’ to say.
