Sharing her happy news with fans on social media last week, Ferne McCann revealed she had welcomed a second baby girl.
Posting a sweet black and white video which showed Ferne, her fiancé Lorri Haines and her five-year-old daughter Sunday gently placing their hands protectively over the tiny tot, the First Time Mum star wrote, “It’s a girl! 06.07.23”.
And now a source tells Closer how the former TOWIE star, 32 – whose daughter's name is Finty Francis Haines-McCann – couldn’t be happier as a family of four.
The insider says, “Ferne is absolutely on cloud nine right now and simply couldn’t be happier. She’s describing her little girl as an angel because that’s how she sees her – as a gift from above. She’s had so many messages and presents from friends which has been really touching. Ferne’s looking forward to showing off her new baby really soon.”
The arrival of Ferne’s baby comes just months after she was embroiled in a very public voice notes scandal. In September, an anonymous Instagram user leaked voice notes recorded by Ferne, where she was heard to call former friend Sam Faiers a “fat c***” and a “narcissistic b****”, as well as referring to her ex Arthur Collins’ acid attack victim as “f***ing ugly”.
Ferne has since apologised publicly, and the insider says the mum-of-two is now trying to put the past behind her.
The source adds, “Everything just feels like it’s fallen into place for Ferne now. It’s been a difficult few months, with the voice notes scandal and all of the mess that came with it, but all of that is in the past. She’s looking towards the future and being the very best mum she can to her two girls.”
And the source says that, while she’s currently adapting to having another addition to her family, she’s keen to have even more kids in the next few years.
The source says, “Ferne doesn’t want to stop at two, she’s always wanted a big family. And having another baby has just reaffirmed how she wants more as, ultimately, being a mum is her favourite job and family is everything to her.
"She won’t be rushing into getting pregnant again anytime soon though – for now, she’s just focusing on her new baby and enjoying the moment, although she has already said she wants to plan another family holiday before the year ends!”
