Natalie Cassidy has shared a VERY sweet photo of her baby girl, Joanie, with fiancé Marc Humphreys and five-year-old daughter, Eliza, lovingly looking on.
The Eastenders actress posted her new family portrait on Twitter yesterday with the caption: "@cameramarc and I introduce Joanie Elizabeth Cassidy-Humphreys... We are all so in love!"
TV presenter Gaby Roslin was one of the first stars to respond: “Ahh HUGE congratulations. What a gorgeous photo. Sending big hugs and lots of love xx.”
Natalie and Marc shared news of her pregnancy back in February with the post: "Evening all... Time to let everybody know that @cameramarc and I are having a baby in the summer. The three musketeers become four (sic)."
Little Joanne is Natalie and Marc’s first child since the happy couple got engaged last October.
Natalie’s newfound bliss with her "perfect gent" comes after a turbulent relationship with abusive ex-partner and father of Eliza, Adam Cottrell.
Adam was officially charged with assaulting Natalie and received 120 hours of community service. The soap star said she briefly reconciled with Adam for the sake of their daughter.
She told the Mirror: "It was my decision. I'm really glad I gave it another chance. When kids are involved you almost have to. I can always say to Eliza, 'Mummy tried, but it didn't work out.'"
Natalie’s pregnancy has been a personal blessing but didn’t work out so well for Eastenders bosses who failed to conceal her bump during filming.
Fans were left confused about whether her character, Sonia Jackson, was pregnant or not.
One fan tweeted: "OK, so EastEnders are just going to ignore the fact that Sonia's preggers and pretend she isn't?!"
Maybe Sonia will fall pregnant if Natalie and Marc decide on another baby. We send our best wishes on the first.
