James Bye may not be the very first Martin Fowler in BBC One’s EastEnders, but viewers absolutely adore the talented actor.

He’s been dealt some seriously meaty story lines since joining the soap, attacking each and every single one with dedication and sensitivity.

But none more so than he has with Martin Fowler and Stacey’s relationship.

We’ve watched them transform from an awkward one night stand to a strong married couple - made even more beautiful by Martin’s acceptance of Stacey’s one night stand with Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) and his tenderness in dealing with her postpartum psychosis.

And, away from the screen, James has been just as supportive of Lacey Turner, who plays his on-screen wife.

As anyone who follows his Twitter feed will already know, he’s constantly praising her acting abilities - and spent a lot of time calling upon the public to vote for her at this year’s soap awards.

So it makes sense that he introduced Mrs Fowler to the other woman in his life.

Yup, we’re talking about Mrs Bye - aka his wife, Victoria!

He shared a cute snapshot of the pair, writing: “The wives!”

And mum-of-two Victoria proved she definitely has a great sense of humour, sharing her own photo with Lacey.

She hilariously captioned the shot: “The other woman.”

Victoria added: “Love her!”

James and Victoria clearly enjoyed their big night out on the red carpet - which we imagine was a fun date night for the pair, who recently welcomed their second baby.

Speaking to OK! magazine, James revealed that he got very hands on during the birth, saying: “I put my hand down and held his head.

"It was the most amazing feeling on earth. I can’t put into words what it felt like to do it, to pull him into this world.”

Victoria added: “It makes you stronger as a couple to share these experiences and go through them together.

The Martin Fowler actor and his wife also revealed that their little boy’s name is Louis George Bye, which means "famous warrior"; we think it’s just perfect for their second-born son!

We imagine the birth came as something of a relief for Victoria, who tweeted her frustration about the baby being overdue MONTHS ago.

She wrote: "Come on baby! #overdue #waitinggame #currytonight"

In February, James revealed that Victoria was planning to use a birthing pool during labour.

And, while most men can’t stand the sight of blood, he added that he was looking forward to joining her in the water for their son’s big debut.

He said at the time: "I'm planning to get into the pool. I've got my trunks ready to go! My mum's a midwife and said, 'Are you sure you want to get in, James?' It won't just be the baby in the water. There will be other things floating about.'

“People say it freaks them out to see women give birth but it's completely natural."

The 31-year-old waited until the later stages of his wife’s second pregnancy before confirming the happy news to the press.

So it wasn’t until February that he finally revealed that he was expecting his second child with Victoria.

And, perhaps more importantly, that his two-year-old son Edward couldn’t WAIT to be a big brother.

The popular actor also thanked EastEnders for helping him to prepare for his little bundle of joy.

Opening up about working with baby Arthur, the real-life Martin Fowler told OK! Magazine: “Working with a newborn baby on the EastEnders set has got me excited for our own baby's arrival.

"As Edward's two I'd forgotten how small newborns are.”

James added that he’d love to have even more children once his new son arrives.

"We'll keep going until we get a whole football team," he said.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
