It’s safe to say that Martin Fowler (James Bye) isn’t having a very happy time in EastEnders at the moment.

His partner, Stacey Branning - played by Lacey Turner - is currently struggling with postpartum psychosis.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to him, the baby boy he has come to love as his own is actually the result of Stacey’s one-night-stand with Martin’s best friend, Kush.

And, as ever, things are guaranteed to get worse before they get better.

The soap is teaming with BBC One's mental health week as Stacey’s mental health storyline intensifies.

During In The Mind week starting Monday, February 15th, Stacey will make a life-changing decision that hugely concerns her partner Martin.

But, while his character is definitely going through the wringer at the moment, James Bye is on cloud nine.

The 31-year-old has confirmed that he is expecting his second child with wife Victoria.

And his two-year-old son Edward can’t WAIT to be a big brother.

"Working with a newborn baby on the EastEnders set has got me excited for our own baby's arrival," he said to OK! Magazine.

"As Edward's two I'd forgotten how small newborns are.”

Congratulations to the happy couple!
