Danniella Westbrook revealed on Loose Women that she's returning to EastEnders later this year, but all isn't as it seems...
If you're an EastEnders fan like us, you'll remember Danniella Westbrook as the infamous and original Sam Mitchell. We last saw the actress on the square last year after her onscreen mum Peggy Mitchell died. After her brief appearance Danniella revealed she was upset she didn't get any screen time with Barbara Windsor, who played Peggy, and Ross Kemp, who played Grant Mitchell.
She then demanded another return to the show because "the public want it," but unfortunately, we haven't seen her in Walford since.
Fans were recently excited after the actress appeared on Loose Women and revealed she's returning to the BBC show. She told the panellist: "There's a lot of chance of me going back to EastEnders at the moment.
"Yeah. I love EastEnders, I do love it. I'll probably be back there this year, the end of this year."

However, it appears that all isn't as it seems after it has been confirmed by BBC bosses that Danniella is not returning to the show that made her famous.
A spokesperson for EastEnders admitted: "There are no plans for Danniella to return."
An insider also revealed that she hasn't been in talks with the show: "It's very odd that she keeps harping on about her return to the soap because it has plainly never been discussed," they told The Sun.
Eek!
During her TV interview, the 43-year-old actress also revealed she had been struggling with her mental health over the past few years. She explained to the panelists her current diagnosis: "I have borderline personality disorder, I'm bipolar, paranoia schizophrenia, I've got lots of different things."
After admitting she is no longer taking medication, she reassured the panelist's that her doctors agreed that she can wean herself off of everything she was taking.
Danniella then went on to explain that she's feeling "fantastic" and has opened a bar in Marbella. Although she isn't worried about the environment because she's a "people person."
